Liechtenstein values its partnership with the Organisation of American States

The Principality of Liechtenstein has been a Permanent Observer to the Organization of American States (OAS) since January 2014. In that role, Liechtenstein participates in meetings of the OAS and contributes to the important OAS work on the ground. Liechtenstein and the OAS share a deep commitment to multilateralism, democracy and the rule of law and have a longstanding cooperation to protect and empower the women and girls of the Americas.

Most recently, Ambassador Sparber had the opportunity to take part in the 56th OAS General Assembly, held in Panama City from June 22 to 24, 2026, an annual highlight of multilateral diplomacy in the Western Hemisphere.
