IMF Spring Meeting at a Decisive Time for the Global Economy

From April 14-17 Liechtenstein attended the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC. Led by the CEO of Liechtenstein‘s Financial Market Authority (FMA), Mario Gassner, the Liechtenstein Delegation to the IMF Spring Meetings held numerous exchanges with IMF experts and country representatives.

The current challenges to the world economy are significant for an open economy like Liechtenstein‘s and a clear call for the private sector to continue to strengthen its competitiveness, productivity and resilience. The Liechtenstein Government is committed to provide the best possible framework conditions and the international partnerships we need in the future. The IMF‘s assessment of our strong economic fundamentals, reflected by our new two-year review cycle, makes us confident that Liechtenstein will continue its success story.
