The delegations of the Strategic and Economic Partnership Dialogue
The Strategic and Economic Partnership Dialogue was established by a Memorandum of Understanding signed in August 2024 and launched in Washington in October 2024. It defines a framework for regular exchange on economic and security questions of mutual interest.
The Dialogue covered a broad range of topics at the intersection of economic and security cooperation as well as investments and partnerships in education. The countries issued a Joint Communiqué: Joint Statement on United States–Liechtenstein Strategic and Economic Partnership Dialogue - United States Department of State
Reviewing progress on the November 2025 U.S.-Switzerland-Liechtenstein Joint Statement on Trade, Liechtenstein reported on investments of its private sector in the U.S. economy and workforce, and both countries evaluated their close cooperation on economic security. The delegations had a substantial exchange on current challenges to European security, the risks and potential of innovative technologies as well as threats to cyber and critical infrastructure security.
Education continues to be a pillar of the bilateral partnership between Liechtenstein and the United States, spanning from promoting Liechtenstein’s high-quality apprenticeship system in the U.S. to strengthening people-to-people contacts in academia through the brand new Fulbright specialist program established this August. The Dialogue underscored the breadth and depth of the partnership between our two countries and setset out an ambitious agenda for collaboration in the coming months.
