Liechtenstein Participates in 92nd St. Y's StreetFest in New York
On Sunday, September 14, the Embassy of Liechtenstein participated in 92nd Street Y’s annual StreetFest, a festival held each September on the Upper West Side in New York, NY.
The festival, which spans 10 street blocks, features activities for families and children, information about the center’s programs and International Way, which showcases culture, products and tourism opportunities from a variety of countries.
Liechtenstein joined 12 other countries including Germany, China, India, Japan and Trinidad & Tobago to present its culture and history. Visitors were able to learn about the peculiarities of the Liechtenstein dialect, watch a scenic video and receive tourism brochures and other informational material.
92Y is an organization that offers a wide variety of activities, events and classes. It was established by Jewish immigrants from Germany in 1874 under the name “Young Men’s Hebrew Association”; yearly over 300,000 people attend 92Y’s programming.
