Ambassador Fritsche Visits Ohio

From April 3-4 Ambassador Claudia Fritsche traveled to Ohio. Beginning in Cleveland, Ambassador Fritsche, joined by Paul Donahue, Liechtenstein's Honorary Consul to the Midwest, met with Mayor Frank Jackson. They discussed Cleveland's economy and outlook for the future and Liechtenstein-US relations, as well as its growing presence in the US Midwest. Ambassador Fritsche also had the opportunity to visit the Cleveland Museum of Art and attend a concert of the Cleveland Orchestra featuring Mitsuko Uchida's Mozart.

In Columbus, Ambassador Fritsche met with Mayor Michael Coleman. She then met with members of the International Women's Forum. Later she visited the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University where she met with faculty and students. There she was able to highlight the University of Liechtenstein's Institute for Entrepreneurship, as well as Liechtenstein’s relationship with the EU through the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and European Economic Area (EEA) and Liechtenstein's views on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiations between the EU and US.

In Columbus, Ambassador Claudia Fritsche had a meeting with Mayor Michael Coleman.

Concluding her visit to Ohio, Ambassador Fritsche spoke at the Glenn School of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University. In her speech "The Impact of Women in Politics - A Conversation with the Ambassador of Liechtenstein," she highlighted Liechtenstein's commitment to women’s empowerment, in particular in the area of Women, Peace and Security.
